The famous Kournas lake is only 3Km… a perfect place to spend your day playing with ducks and turtles. Chania is 40min drive and of course Georgioupolis 10min. Lots of supermarkets can be found in Georgioupolis. Kavalos Taverna and Kali Kardia, will amaze you with the cretan delicacies.
A fantastic route for hiking is the Azilakas forest… with local herbs and tea spread all over the forest.
