Villa Kayu is one of four guest houses of the Villa Kelapa property with its spacious tropical garden. It was re-built from an original, local 100 year old wooden house and complemented with all of the modern conveniences, such as a lavish veranda and stylish kitchen & bathrooms. The balcony overlooks rice padi fields, where stunning sunsets can be admired. Villa Kelapa is located in the green heart of the island. Villa Kayu is a beautifully re-built traditional Malay style house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living area, which is the ideal tropical destination to a relaxing holiday for two couples or a family. It provides a king-size and two super singles beds for four guests, but the number of guests can easily be extended to six by adding 2 extra beds.

The villa is equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioning and a safety deposit box.

An advanced drinking water system is installed for the safe consumption of water without having to buy plastic bottles.

Free wireless internet is provided throughout the property.

A charming open-air shower makes the stay Villa Kayu unique. Both of the luxuriously designed bathrooms are equipped with washing basins, a shower and a toilet with toilet shower. Toiletries, towels, a hair dryer, pool towels and bed linens are provided.

The modern kitchen features a fridge, stove, toaster, water kettle, rice cooker, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery. There is also a complimentary welcome selection of tea, coffee and sugar for guests.

A gorgeous 12 m salt-water infinity pool invites for a swim under the tropical sun. Sun deck chairs and sun umbrellas are located along the pool deck. In the adjacent straw-roofed bar a chilled drink can be enjoyed. For our guest’s convenience there is a BBQ area and private covered parking. Guests can also make use of the two pedal bikes.

All four guest houses are private villas, which are allocated generously over the 60.000 sqf property. The location of our little paradise is in the midst of nature. Guests wake up to the chirping of birds and to the pure fresh air. However, the central location provides quick access to the main beaches, to the airport, ferry terminal and Kuah town, to supermarkets and night markets, all of which can be reached within a 10 – 20 minutes drive.

We gladly offer assistance in car and motorbike rentals as well as information and arrangements for tours and activities on Langkawi.

Guests have private access to all of Villa Kayu, share private, covered parking space, and they will be able to use the salt water infinity pool with adjoining straw roofed bar on the Villa Kelapa site - 1 minute away from the front door of Kayu. There is also a BBQ area allocated for guests as well as two pedal bikes

Since we live on the property, we are available to assist in questions on what to do and where to shop or eat out in Langkawi. We can also help out in booking a tour, rental car or scooter.

In the green heart of the island Villa Kelapa is located along a small country road, which connects the two villages of Ulu Melaka and Makam Mahsuri, where you can enjoy local food or do some grocery shopping. To one side of our premises you'll find rice padi fields and forest to the other side. Our villas offer stunning views over those paddies. The property is situated at the edge of a broad valley facing to the West, where beautiful sunsets are a delight in the evening. Due to the central location of Villa Kelapa, all points of interest, beaches, restaurants and shops as well as night markets are comfortably accessible.

You can easily get around by using a Taxi or Grab Car (similar to Uber), though most of our guests prefer renting a car or scooter. We gladly help with the (URL HIDDEN) You can also use our two pedal bikes to explore the neighborhood. Don't miss out on an early morning or late afternoon walk over the padi fields.

We have pets - 2 dogs and 2 cats, they might be seen at times strolling around the very large garden, but they are friendly and are not allowed into any of the guest houses. They will have minimal contact with the guests.
