Seven Havens Luxury Residence is located on the south coast of Lombok, only a 30 minute drive from Lombok International airport. It is perched on a small hill, only 10 minutes walk from the region’s best beach Selong Belanak with its white powdery sands. The view from the property is unparalleled with 360 degrees of dramatic scenery where ocean, island, hills, and rice paddy meet in one glance.

Being surrounded by the natural beauty of Selong Belanak bay, it was important for us to use natural and local materials in the design of Seven Havens. The result is a unique combination of a modern building, built from local, re-used and recycled materials.

Most eye-catching is certainly the tilted roof of the main building; this was made from not one but three old sea containers. The steel of these containers has weathered many storms, stood the test of time and thus provides a strong and fitting protection against the elements.

The walls of Seven Haves have a red-brownish colour because they are made from rammed earth: a mixture of local clay, earth, hay and...cow manure! While this ancient building technique is less common in Southeast Asia it is environmentally friendly and also provides excellent insulation and protection against the heat.

All wood used in the building is recycled wood.
For the window frames and the frames of the sliding doors we have used recycled teak wood sourced from demolished old buildings in Java. Our pool deck is made from the notoriously durable but rare "kayu ulin" or ironwood that used to be part of a bridge in Borneo (Kalimantan).

The final unique component of the building is bamboo which is used for the ceilings of the main building and the sliding panels that provide shade all around. Like the other elements, the bamboo is sourced locally, strong, durable and a beautiful sustainable alternative to modern building materials.

Seven Havens was designed by award-winning Indonesian architect Budi Pradono. It combines uncompromising comfort and luxury while respecting its natural surroundings. The ideal holiday home for distinguished travelers.

The guests will have dedicated villa manager, 2 housekeepers, 1 chef, 1 cook, 1 gardener and 5 security guards, all to ensure the comfort of our guests.
