A gorgeous one bedroom villa on 300 sqm of land nestled in an oasis of a lush garden. It is private and quiet, yet centrally located with Bali’s top restaurants and bars - Jalan Oberoi and Jalan Petitenget - just 5 minutes cab ride away.

“Secret Garden” has a huge garden making it very unique as most villas in Bali are very built up.. You wake up to the sounds of birds' chirping and fall asleep to the rustle of the leaves.

A perfect romantic hideaway for couples to relax and re-connect.

The villa is A-frame style in design, bright with large french windows on most sides. It’s fully furnished with stuff handpicked by my husband and I during our countless trips to Bali, some hauled from holidays further afield. They make an eclectic collection which we hope give some personality to the place.

The sitting room has large comfortable art deco printed sofa and arm chair where you could relax, watch TV, read a book, or just doze….We have assembled a small collection of books for your enjoyment. The ceilings are high, and the electric fans keep the space cool and well ventilated.

Next to the breakfast bar is an open plan functional kitchen where you can rustle up a simple meal.

At the end of the hallway is a small guest toilet. The next door opens into the bedroom which has a walk in wardrobe. The beautiful mosquito net draped 4 poster teak bed ( queen size) is very much the center feature of the room. The french window opens into a little pebbled garden.

The en-suite bathroom and toilet is semi open air, with lots of light coming through. Warm shower is available. Water pressure can be low when water level is low especially during dry season.

I don't live in Bali, and have hired The Bali Agent to receive guests and look after your needs on the ground. The Bali Agent is set up by Ben, a French guy who is super efficient, attentive and friendly. He gets things done and this is rare in Bali. The service is discreet and attentive.

We also give our guests a local phone so you can contact the guest relations on the ground easily without having to incur hefty long distance calls.

While the villa is secluded and quiet, you are never really too far from all the all the actions in Seminyak.

There are also plenty of amenities on the door-step if you don’t want to leave the area. A spa literally next door frequented by local expats where you can get quality massages, pedi/mani etc. A local laundromat across the road where you can get your clothes washed and ironed in 24 hours. ( But I would be more careful with expensive or delicate items)

About 5-10 mins walk down the road, there are restaurants serving up western and asian fares. I get my morning fixes at Spice - a gastro pub.

The best way to move around Bali in the day is on motorbike as the roads are small and bad traffic jams during peak tourist season. Do remember to wear your helmet and have your driving license with you at all time. If you ever get pulled over by the traffic police, haggle, pay the fine and move on. Don't argue. Otherwise Taxis are cheap and widely available too.

The villa can also arrange a car for you if you like to do day trips. Just inform the guest relations upon your arrival.

We have a sturdy motorbike and helmet for rent Rp60,000 a day. If you like to rent it please let me know in advance.

We can arrange for pick up from the airport to the villa at RP250,000 which works out to about USD15. It's about the same price as a Bluebird Taxi or maybe a couple bucks more than some of local taxis.

We strongly recommend our guests to use this service - especially if you arrive late at night and street lighting isn't Bali's strongest point. If you get lost, you end up having to call long distance to get directions. and this could end up being expensive. The villa is down an alleyway from the main road around a bend, so could be hard to find.

Car parking is not available. However you can park your rented bike outside the villa which is safe to do so. But please lock the bike.

Wooden baby cot with mosquito net, baby chair, baby sitter, pool fence are available for hire.
