Kotinos apartment is the first of the three autonomous apartments all together combining the Polytimon complex. Extended up to 60 sqm, it has capacious and bright rooms (Kitchen/Dining Room / Living Room / Bedroom) facing the main street. Earthy color choices, marble gloosy floors, modern & antique furniture contribute to maintain a simple and minimalistic style. Fully equipped with all comforts included, Kotinos can cosily accomodate four people, families or individual travellers.

We are pleased to host you in our fully renovated Νeoclassical - Art Deco apartment located in the heart of the historic center of the Athenian state. Just 350 m from Syntagma Square and 450 m from Monastiraki Square (3'-5' on foot), Polytimon ('Precious') gives the visitors the opportunity not only to live in the pulse of the Athenian society, but also to enjoy in comfort their activities. Stated in the heart of the capital's historic and commercial triangle, the visitors can easily and quickly do their shopping, all-day 'n' night excursions choosing among a wide range of Athens' best bars and restaurants, plural sight-seeing, museums and archaeological sites (the Parthenon, Theseum, Plaka, Kerameikos, Monastiraki), etc. Staying in our lovely apartment, the visitors have this great chance to be hosted in one of the most famous and unique architectural achievements of the Interwar Period, dated back in the early 19th century. Polytimon is extended up to 200 sqm., designed to function either as a single apartment, yet able to comfortably accommodate 12 people the least, or being divided into three autonomous, spacious apartments - 'Kotinos', 'Psellion' and 'Periapton' -, all three keeping their personal minimalistic aesthetic. Polytimon, a place where during the last century was honored to house quite a number of silver/goldsmitheries, consists our proud result of the attempt to a yearslong reconstruction, re-designed and renovated in a way not only friendly to its historic essence, but fresh and corresponding to the Greek and European tradition, combining the modern with the classical style, it gives its guests the opportunity to enjoy moments of quiet and relaxation by providing every possible comfort and giving a taste of past decades’ Athenian daily life.

Kotinos apartment has 3 rooms with huge french doors and small balconies turned to the side of the main street:
- A capacious fully equiped kitchen with a rotunda dining table for 4 - 5 persons.
-A cozy living room with two semi-double bed/sofas fitting for (two or three) hosts. Living room has a TV and A/C.
-A cozy and capacious bedroom with double bed, a comfort wardrobe, dressing table with chair and mirror.
-A cozy marbled bathroom with shower and washing machine
- Guests can also use the shared laundry room which includes a large capacity washing machine, a large dryer machine, iron, ironing board, ironing press, etc.

Access to the Kotinos apartment:
Guests come across the hallway after the central building entrance (green door) where leads to the three marble steps of the interior metal-glass door. Guests can use the elevator or the staircase which leads to the third floor. Guests of Kotinos apartment have access in all the rooms and spaces which are described previously. Also they can use, with the guests of the other two apartments, the shared laundry room, although each apartment has its own washing machine, spreader, ironing board and iron.

After 02:00 a.m. the green door on ground floor closes. If you want your arrival take place late at night, it would be a good idea to contact the management team to ensure that you have access to the building and lockboxes.

Kotinos apartment is in the liveliest location of athenian historical triangle but in a noticeably quiet building. The most important sights and monuments are only few minutes away. The apartment is between the two busier metro Stations on Syntagma and Monastiraki Squares, only 350 – 450 meters on foot (3 – 4 minutes away). The most crowded city streets with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, fast food, coffee shops, bars, etc. are only few meters away. More specifically, the apartment is located less than fifty meters from the famous Karytsi Square, famous for its nightlife. Black Duck bistrot, Barley Cargo, Blink, Gin Joint, La vie en rock, Pairi daeza, Priza, The Bank Job, The Seven Jokers, Toy Cafe bar, Shakespeare bar are some of the most famous bars.

200 meters away you will be led at the most commercial street of Athens, Ermou Street, a road stretches from Syntagma Square to Gazi district. It hosts many stores and hides a numerous little ‘treasures’ in its alleys. ‘Fouar’ café (Mitropoleos and Christopoulou street) is one of them. Heading down Ermou towards Monastiraki area, you will come across Kapnikarea church. Later on, you will find yourself in Agia Irini square and around there you will find Kalamiotou street, where you can have a drink in one of the most ‘theatrical’ places in the city, ‘Faust’! ‘Faust’ also has a theatrical scene, where a number of theatrical performances or musical events take place. One more cute place which makes worth tasting cocktails is ‘Baba au Rum’ in Klitiou street. For the best brunch, visit ‘Mama Roux’ (Aiolou 48), but make sure you get reservations on Sundays.

In the beggining of Ermou Street you will see the Syntagma Square were situated The Greek Parliament, and in front of it you will see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, dedicated to the fallen soldiers at war. The Tomb is guarded by the Evzones, which is the Greek honorary guard. Since you are there, it’s worth visiting the National Garden, Zappeion Megaron and the Kallimarmaro (Panathenaic Stadium).

Going down the street from Kotinos apartment, you will be led to Psirri district, one of the most hip districts of Athens, where you can find unexpectedly cool places like the fairytale little place, named ‘Little Kook’. Besides the fantastic atmosphere, you can taste fantastic desserts. Moreover, Psirri is known for its nightlife, which can be described as alternative, with various choices.

Unquestionably, the fastest, easiest and cheapest choice to move in Athens is the Metro and the Suburban railway. Both of them are close and pass through stations “Syntagma” and “Monastiraki”, which are between 350 -450 meters away from our cozy apartment. Its only 2-3 minutes walking distance.
- If you arriving at the airport: Take Metro line 3 (blue line) with direction to "Aghia Marina". After 15 stops you will be in Station “Syntagma”. The apartment its only 350 meters away.
- If you are arriving at the port: Take Metro line 1 (green line) with direction "Kifisia" and after 7 stops you will be at station “Monastiraki” . The apartment its only 450 meters away.
To Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Plaka and most famous ancient greek sightseeings you can take the Metro from Stadiou Str. (250 meters away) "Panepistimio station", after 2 stops you will be there. Also you can take other public transportation, like a bus or a trolley, from Klavthmonos Square on Stadiou Str (trolley numbers 15, 5, or 1).

To Gazi - Keramikos you will take metro line 3 from Monastiraki Station with direction "Aghia Marina", after one stop you will be there. Also, you can move by the bus number 035, from the bus station on Athinas Str, right outside of the metro station "Monastiraki.

Paying attention to environmental protection, the apartment has an automatical system for activating and deactivating electricity. When you arrive and stay in the apartment, the white card, that you will find in the loxbox on the 3rd floor should be placed. The white card is placed in the recess, as you enter, to the left of the entrance of the apartment. When you leave and keep the white card on your keys, unnecessary power consumption is avoided, while the only device that works exclusively is the refrigerator, so that your products remain fresh. The house has state-of-the-art solar water heaters that distribute plenty of hot water in winter and summer. You need to be careful about how you open the taps to avoid possible burns.
