The accommodation is a ground floor apartment, with private entrance. Fully renovated in 2020 with new furniture. It consists of an air-conditioned space with a living room, a table and a kitchen. In the bedroom there is a king size bed, a large closet. The bathroom, designed in a minimal style.
Hosts welcome guests to the accommodation. At the reception, guests will find, for welcome, filter water in the fridge, a tray with traditional pastries and raki or wine.
Dishwashers and washing machines are not provided. However, there are laundries, 50m from the accommodation, where with a special price, you can have your clothes clean and ironed. The kitchen includes an oven and hobs, a toaster, a coffee machine, a kettle and cooking utensils so that guests can prepare their meals with all their comforts.
In the 39 'smart TV, you can find local TV & radio channels, but also free satellite channels (FTA) from Hotbird & Astra satellites. Neflix connection is offered. The site has wireless and wired internet connection.
Guests can access all rooms in the apartment. The entrance is private and and they don't see or contact other persons living in the building.
The home of the hosts is located in the same apartment building, so in case of problems, we are happy to help our guests, in case of any problems and difficulties they face, both with the accommodation and with their staying in general.
Communication can be done in Greek, English, French and German.
The apartment you will be staying in is in the center of Heraklion, Crete. In the area you will find food and clothing stores. At 200m is the traditional market of Heraklion, which is worth visiting for the purchase of traditional Cretan products and souvenirs. For your treatment in a radius of 500m you will find hairdressers, nail care salons, make-up and massage.
As for entertainment, the plethora of cafes, taverns with live music, restaurants and bars will surprise you. Move pedestrians and enjoy the old town and its attractions, every moment of the day from morning until very late at night.
Ancient monuments such as the Venetian port with the majestic Koule castle, a walk next to or on the Venetian walls and the new ones, the shipyards of the time are a must during your stay.
Guided buses allow you to pass through the most important modern and ancient monuments of the city. Visit museums, temples and reach the ancient palace of Knossos, where in combination with the archeological museum, you will get to know the unique Minoan civilization in the world.
The nearest beach, Ammoudara, is only 5km from the property.
The accommodation is 200m from the intercity bus station (KTEL) and can be reached by bus to coastal villages or inland villages.
At 150m you have access to the city buses that can take you to the nearest beaches of Heraklion Ammoudara and Karteros.
There are also taxi ranks at bus stops for those wishing to take a taxi.
If you want to rent a vehicle, then in the area, at a distance of 100m there are private and public parking. The public parking lot of the Piraeus Port Authority is very economical and costs 4 € / day and you can enter / exit as many times as you need.
If you use a rental car for your transportation, the route options are many and unique.
