Welcome to Malinja Homestay, a small, family-run place composed of 6 semi-detached homes in 3 buildings of differing modern designs, with our own home within the same compound. You will be staying in Malinja Homestay House 2B, a single-storey, semi-detached home at the back portion of our compound that consists of a:

- Spacious living room, equipped with a ceiling fan, sofa, and a TV (basic channels).

- Kitchen, equipped with a dining table w/ chairs, fridge, rice cooker, water boiler, some basic cookware and cutlery, as well as a washing machine.

- Ensuite Master Bedroom, with aircon and ceiling fan, furnished with a queen-sized bed, a dresser and a wardrobe.

- Middle Bedroom, with aircon and ceiling fan, furnished with a queen-sized bed and a dresser.

- Ensuite Bedroom, with aircon and ceiling fan, furnished with a queen-sized bed and a dresser (bathroom is ensuite but shared).

- Single Bedroom, with ceiling fan only, furnished with a single bed and a dresser.

You have access only to your own semi-detached unit, including all the amenities provided within. Wi-fi access is provided.

Either my helper or myself will be on hand to facilitate check-in and check-out, and to provide directions and recommendations if needed. I also live within the same grounds, so you may look for me if you require any assistance. Otherwise, we respect your privacy during your stay.

Our compound is surrounded by padi fields and other village homes, and the main village road is right in front of it. Thanks to the miles of flat paddy fields, the dramatic scenery of Langkawi’s mountains is can be clearly appreciated from our compound. Despite its rural setting, the famous Mahsuri Mausoleum is just a few hundred metres away.

There is no convenient public transport in Langkawi except for unmetered taxis, so the best way we recommend for you to get here and to get around is by renting a car, van or motorcycle. We have a van for hire if you need one - do enquire from me after booking is confirmed.

Malay is our first language, but we can communicate in basic English. Do be patient with us!

Wi-fi uptime, stability and speed can be inconsistent, so be prepared.

Please note that there are NO HOT WATER SHOWERS in the unit!
