Built in the Georgian period in 1736, Aran View Country House stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline. Doolin village is just 10 minutes' walk away. Facing Aran View Country House are the beautiful Aran Islands, which are just 11 km from Doolin. To the north is the famous Burren landscape of limestone and exotic wild flowers. To the south are Doolin Pier and the beginning of the imposing Cliffs of Moher that jut into the wild Atlantic Ocean. Relax in the wine bar beside a cosy turf fire with a glass of wine from the extensive wine list. The view across to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway Bay is wonderful and in the summer evenings the sunset over the Aran Islands is a beautiful sight. The lounges also offer beautiful views of the islands and cliffs. You can enjoy a buffet breakfast, a cooked Irish breakfast or a lighter option, including scrambled egg and Burren smoked salmon.
