Stay in our contemporary mud house in the plantation. Enjoy the greenery around, hear the wind whispering to trees, listen to the water flow in the estate. The contemporary mud house is a spacious single bedroom cottage. The bedroom spots a comfortable wooden cot and a bed, plus an additional pull out bed of the same size. The room can accommodate up to four guests.

The cottage is situated at the entrance of the plantation with easy access to the road.

There is a care taker available at the place. He will receive the guest and will be around for your support during your stay at Solitude. The care taker will provide you with home cooked food on request.

Solitude is in Viripara village, which is sparsely populated. You would get a chance to enjoy the calm serene nature of Munnar with a view of forest.
There are some small shops at walk able distance for local snacks. You would find a waterfall and a short trekking trail at 5 minutes drive from Solitude. There are also longer trekking trail available around the place.
You could also go for a short drive around the tea estate at a distance of 10 minutes drive from Solitude.
Anakkulam is another attraction near Solitude where elephants come down to quench their thirst in the evenings.
Tiger caves is a local attraction which is at a short drive from Solitude.

Solitude is at a distance of 45- 50 minutes from the heart of Munnar town. Solitude can be reached through two different routes.
The first option would be the Kallar Maankulam road which deviates from the Cochin Munnar state highway 16. You would be driving along the majestic Kallar river which runs round the year.
The second option would be the Viripara Maankulam Road starting the from Munnar bus stand. You would be driving through the serene Letchmi Tea estates which is one of the best estate you could be walking around without the hustles of the Munnar town.
Since, Solitude is in a village which is away from the hustles of Munnar, it is advisable to reach the place before sunset. The roads in Munnar villages will have a deserted look after sunset.
