Almost new house in contemporary style, located close to Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Set in a small private housing development, the house enjoys northern views to the forest.

If you're lucky, around dusk you can see thousands of fruit bats which emerge from caves nearby. You may also spot one of the 4 species of Hornbill which live in the area.

Wild elephants also visit the area from the National Park.

The area around the house has many good (and varied) restaurants and coffee shops.

The house is 3 km from Khao Yai Golf Club (designed by Jack Nicklaus), 9 km from Granmonte Vineyard and 16 km from PB Valley Vineyard.

Both Vineyards offer guided tours (and tastings!).

The house owners live sometimes in the house next door. If we are not there, our maid is around every day (Thai language only).

Khao Yai is always between 5 - 10 degrees C cooler than Bangkok, sometimes more. In the winter, the temperature can fall below 10 degrees C.

Khao Yai is very popular for cycling and running, with races for all ages and abilities.

Rangers in the National Park are available for guided walking tours and know where to find (at least some of) the wildlife.

More than 70 mammal species have been recorded in Khao Yai National Park, including larger species like elephants, sambar deer, barking deer, gaur, civets, porcupines, wild boars, gibbons, macaques, wild dogs and tigers.

You should have your own transport when visiting. There is no public transportation available.
