Thonrycroft Lodge is nestled in the heart of the Horseshoe Valley, on a large country estate resting on the banks of the Nahoon river.
The surroundings hills and lush landscape cocoon you in a bubble of tranquility, separating you from the city of East London, which is only a 10 minute drive away, via 2,5km scenic gravel road. The lodge has an outdoor living approach, coupled with uncomplicated designs and natural tones, creates a relaxed atmosphere where you can really put your feet up, taking in the sounds of the valley.

our spacious guest suites make maximum use of natural light, with large sliding doors opening onto the gardens. each suite features a queen size bed, tv, fridge and a private bath room. also in other suites there is a sleeper couch in the separate living area which can accommodate an adult or a child.

full English breakfast is served at a cost of R95 per person and supper at a request.

Our spa offers massage treatments which are very popular. To experience absolute bliss combine one of our massage treatments with a sauna or jaccuzi soak. The thatched poolside bar is the heart of the lodge and the ideal way to end the day. Enjoy a game of pool, darts or soak up the sun on relaxing chairs by the poolside.
