Red Door Studio 1 is located at Georgetown UNESCO world heritage core zone where attractions, restaurants and street foods are within walking distance. This private studio is at the ground floor of a 2 storey heritage building with a private access from the front. Furnished with 2 sets of single over queen bunk beds so that all 6 guests have proper bedding and 2 private bathrooms.

Red Door Penang is located in the Georgetown UNESCO world heritage core zone. Some says this place is like a live museum. Basically, you will be surrounded by heritage buildings, local residents, temples, clan houses, famous street hawkers, markets, restaurants and shop houses. As you will be stay with the local community, there are community activities like karaoke sessions at their club near our place, so do expect some karaoke music from around 8.30pm to 11.30pm.
It is located minutes away from the malls and tourists attractions. This part of Penang is shared by tourist and locals both residential and commercial.
Famous Penang street art are mostly within 15 mins walk. We've plot the exact location of those wall mural on maps and will share with our guest.

The best way to see Georgetown heritage zone is by walking. Alternatively, bicycle rental is easily available nearby along Victoria Street. I would recommend guest with mobile devices to use maps and therefore having a mobile device with data is essential.
To visit other attractions like Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si, Batu ferringhi beaches, botanical gardens and the national park. The best way is by Grab.
Another good way is to purchase a day pass for Penang Hop on Hop off double decker open top buses which is available online or on bus itself. The 2 nearest stop from Red Door Penang are 10 mins walk away, they are both on the City Route, stop number 08 (UNESCO heritage) or stop number 09 (Clan Jetties).
From Penang International Airport, it is more efficient and cheaper to Grab(estimated about +-RM25 during off peak hour).

As this is a UNESCO heritage building, the facade cannot be altered. To ensure privacy and security of our guests, we had sealed up the 2 existing thin wooden louvered windows that previously cannot be fully locked from the inside. However, the air circulation in this studio is not compromised as there are exhaust fans and airconditioner installed.
