Furnished with 2 sets of single over queen bunk beds so all 6 guests have proper bedding and 2 private bathrooms. Excellent for families & friends in small group.

Guest have direct private access through the back lane's entrance. Enter a gated back lane that leads you to Red Door's entrance. After you enter, there are 2 doors, 1 for the ground floor guest and another private entrance to your studio above the staircase.

Basically, you will be surrounded by heritage buildings, local residents, temples, clan houses, famous street hawkers, markets, restaurants and shop houses. As you will be stay with the local community, there are community activities like karaoke sessions at their club near our place, so do expect some karaoke music from around 8.30pm to 11.30pm. It is located minutes walk away from the malls and tourists attractions. This part of Penang is shared by tourist and locals both residential and commercial. Famous Penang street art are mostly within 15 mins walk. We've plot the exact location of those wall mural on maps and will share with our guest.

The best way to see Georgetown heritage core zone is by walking. Alternatively, bicycle rental is easily available nearby along Victoria Street. I would recommend guest with mobile devices to use maps and therefore having a mobile data network is essential. To visit other attractions like Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si, Batu ferringhi beaches, botanical gardens and the national park. The best way is by Uber or Grab. Another good way is to purchase a day pass for Penang Hop on Hop off double decker open top buses. Which is available on line or on the bus itself. The 2 nearest stop from Red Door Penang is 10 mins walk away, they are both on the City Route, stop number 08 (Unesco heritage) or stop number 09 (Clan Jetties). From Penang International Airport, it is more efficient and cheaper to Grab (estimated about +-RM20 during off peak hours).

As this loft private room studio is situated at the upper floor of a 2 storey Heritage shop house, the only access is from the back lane and back door. Guest need to climb a narrow flight of staircase with no handicap access. WiFi is available, and unlimited. As you will be stay with the local community, there are community activities like karaoke sessions at their club near our place, so do expect some karaoke music from around 8.30pm to 11.30pm.
