Located at the UNESCO Heritage site; the building was built before World War II. It is an old 2-storey shop-lot house with a mixed British Oriental architecture design. Once can instantly feel the old oriental air within the building as you step in with smells of mahagony from the wooden flooring upstairs. The place is quite airy with high ceiling like all old Victorian design and an air-well in the center of the building. The art of heritage living is an unique experience. Quite often you can also feel the "Nanyang" style of living with the smell of aroma of local coffee from the coffee maker located nearby.

At the junction of Kimberly street, a wide range of local famous hawker foods is situated, particularly the famous mantis prawn Char Koay Teow and the special duck, Koay Chap . The old Chowrasta market is just stone throw away and the famous dessert Chendul at Penang Road is just 5 minutes walking distance. For Halal foods just take a 5-minutes walk down to Penang Road next to the Police Headquarter is where the famous Soup Hammed is situated and also Bee Hwa Cafe which serves Halal local hawkers foods.

There are 2 bedrooms on the upper floor approximate 560 and 180 sq ft respectively. The big 560 sq ft room is suitable for family of 5 or 6 and the smaller room with the King size bed is meant for comfort & privacy. Both rooms are ensuites(adjoining bathrooms). There are 2 more bathrooms/toilets downstairs if one is in a hurry.
