Off Grid Living in style where the Rainforest meets the Reef.
If you're lucky you'll see a Cassowary too!

Please be aware of special considerations for Off Grid living: The house runs on solar with a back up generator, considerate use of power is expected to reduce the need for the generator to operate. Hot water is supplied by large solar hot water system, on rare times when overcast weather is persistent, the volume and temperate of hot water is affected.

Private, solar powered holiday home in the Daintree. Free wi-fi, TV, onsite manager to assist with enquiries, directions and any maintenance issues that might arise.

House is modern, 12m x 9m with 2 bedrooms, separate toilet, bathroom, laundry, deck and fully equipped kitchen.

Enjoy unspoilt beaches, freshwater swimming holes, Jungle Surfing, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, visit the Jungle Bugs and Butterfly museum, nature walks, bird watching, kayaking, crocodile spotting tour on the Daintree River, eat out at fabulous restaurants or dine in.

Many guests have seen a Cassowary or two or even eleven in one three day booking !!!

Things to do:

Located a 20 minute leisurely walk to beautiful Cow Bay beach and close to nearby cafes, pub, Jindalba; Marrdja and Dubuji boardwalks, kayaking, nature walks, river cruises, natural swimming holes, Daintree Discovery Centre, Jungle bugs and butterflies museum, and Floravilla bio-dynamic ice-cream factory and art gallery cafe.

Fishing on the Great Barrier Reef:

Catch your own dinner-put your boat in at Cow Bay beach (4WD required), or take a hire boat up the Daintree River.

Cape Tribulation:

A scenic 30min drive North to Cape Tribulation leads you to more restaurants and activities, including; Jungle Surfing, horse riding, snorkelling adventures on one of the seven natural wonders of the world - the Great Barrier Reef.

If booking for two please use one bedroom only.

Guests are welcomed and then given their privacy. If anything is needed I'm easily contacted via email, or in emergency, a walk to the other side of the property.

Visit the oldest Rainforest on earth, see a Cassowary if you're lucky, hear birds, take a crocodile tour, walk along unspoilt beaches...take a half day snorkel trip to the Great Barrier Reef.

You will need your own car, there is no public transport. A standard 2WD is suitable unless you plan to travel further north beyond Cape Tribulation toward Cooktown.
