Kimbaran Bungalow
Kimbaran Bungalow in the village of Kerandangan, is situated in a beautiful valley, close to the popular tourist area of Senggigi. It is a 10 minute walk to the closest beach called Kerandangan beach and a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction will take you to Kerandangan Nature Reserve. It is only a short drive to many other good beaches, hotels and restaurants in Lombok. Reliable car rental with a driver or motorbike hire can be organised.
On the property there are two bungalows. One with a double bed and one with two singles. The bungalows have strong fans inside.
Both bungalows have en suite bathrooms. One bathroom has a hot water shower or you can use the traditional method of bathing by having a 'mandi'. There is nothing better than a cool shower or traditional mandi in this tropical climate.
The kitchen is complete with cooking facilities, including a gas hob, rice cooker, juicer, toaster and small oven. It has a double door fridge with a freezer section.
For relaxing, eating or just hanging out there is a barugaq in the garden.
You have the whole property to yourself. We have a security man who will come in the evening to just turn on all the lights and who just keeps an eye on things. We have a local couple. husband and wife, who live close by, who will greet you and who can deal with any queries you have. They can speak basic English and will help your stay at our home more comfortable. They can be contacted at anytime to help about where to go, where to find things, and how to order food in etc. You can also contact me directly if there is a problem or you need help.
You have the whole property to yourself.
I won't be available in person, but I have a local couple, husband and wife, available who can speak basic English . They will greet you and can answer questions about the local area, what there is to see, how to order food in, help arranging transport or tours and any other queries you have. They live close by and so are easy to contact when needed. Of course you can contact me by phone too if you need.
You can feel the real atmosphere of Lombok and get back to nature by staying in Kimbaran Bungalow. It is surrounded by towering hills and located near the village of Kerandangan. It is in a quiet area but within easy access to Senggigi the main tourist area and the Kerandangan Nature Reserve. The nearest beach is a 10 minute walk away and other beautiful beaches are within easy access. The locals, who are very friendly, are a mixture of Sasak, Balinese and a few long term expats. You can take a walk up one of the hills behind the bungalow to catch the most breathtaking view of the coastline of Lombok.
This is a great place to just relax and enjoy a beach holiday or it can be used as a home base to take day trips to the waterfalls, amazing beaches, the Gili islands, surrounding villages, Rinjani mountain, temples and forest habitat, all found within a couple of hours driving.
We can arrange a driver to pick you up and drop you off at the Lombok International Airport which is a about a 1 hour drive for IDR 300,000 one way, or you can easily book transport from one of the authorised desks in the arrival hall of the airport.
Taxis are readily available and can be ordered by phone to go into Senggigi which is about 5 minutes away. In Sengiggi there is a good range of restaurants and shops. It is the main tourist area and runs along a nice beach.
