Numerous ingredients have been brewed together to form a space that we now call Bagaan. Perched atop a hill, the place overlooks vast tea plantations bearing witness to the poetic skies of the Nilgiris.

Adorned with elements such as teakwood furniture, french windows, clay tiles and a traditional water well, the space provides an immersive experience of life in the blue mountains.

Bagaan also has all the essential amenities such as Wifi, Oil Heaters, Geysers and a fully equipped kitchen.

We have a stilt parking and as for public transport, there are regular buses from outside our place to both Ooty and Coonoor.

There’s a key difference between a hotel and a homestay. We expect our
guests to be well versed with the same so that there’s parity in expectations.
Bagaan is a boutique homestay that has been conceptualized with the idea
of being a second home to its guests. While our team knows what comfort
means to a guest, our hospitality is also built upon the foundation of
compassion and local context. Unlike a hotel, our staff won’t be available
round the clock. Their timings are as follows:
● 1st half: 9 AM to 1 PM
● 2nd half: 6 PM to 9 PM

Our home is located on the Ooty-Kotagiri highway in a place called Perar. It takes about half an hour to reach Ooty main town. The neighborhood is commercially silent and provides you the solace that you need on a retreat while being in proximity with the nearby towns of Ooty and Kotagiri.

We have a stilt parking that can accommodate two vehicles easily. For people preferring public transport, Perar bus stop is at walking distance and you can avail buses for Ooty as well as Kotagiri from there. We can also connect guests with local cab drivers who are well versed with local tourist attractions.

Please note that our place is about 10 kms from Ooty market.
The power backup that we have supports lights, Wifi and certain charging points. Geysers and Heaters will not be supported by the inverter that we have. However, sufficient comforters and blankets will be provided. Weather in the hills can sometimes cause power outages and we want our guests to have a realistic expectation setting about the same.
