About This Hotel

Cosy & sumptuous boutique 1-bed flat Truro centre!

A sumptuous, comfortable and quirky ground floor apartment designed to celebrate the warmth, style and comfort of wool. Sleeps 4 in one double bed, and one double sofa bed. The bedroom is in the centre of the building, so perfect for guests who like a dark, quiet sleeping space. The Sheepsmith is a stylish, comfortable and quirky ground floor apartment. It sits at the front of the building, just behind the fine stone façade, with a perfect ‘people-watching’ perch in the huge Georgian window. With decorative touches such as sheepskins, wool throws and knitted cushions, The Sheepsmith celebrates Truro’s early origins as a village producing, working and trading wool. The comfortable and well-designed living, dining and kitchen space stands at the front of the building, with a stunning oak herringbone floor and a gorgeous, traditional, navy and brass kitchen. The use of natural materials together with the cosy decorative touches make this the perfect space to work, cook, dine or unwind. The comfortable sofa doubles as a sofa bed to accommodate another two guests, should you wish to share this little gem. A generous shower room off the entrance hall offers a large corner shower, traditionally tiled floor, and a large vanity unit and basin which is both attractive and practical for short or more extended stays. The spacious bedroom is at the rear of the apartment in the centre of the building, perfect for those who don’t like to be disturbed by light or noise. The sumptuous bedroom has a king-sized bed and ample storage. The Sheepsmith has easy access, via the communal hallway, to the pretty rear courtyard. This enclosed and sheltered garden is a fabulous spot to enjoy al fresco dining, either in the afternoon sunshine, or under the twinkling festoon lighting and stars. There is a convenient loading bay directly opposite the apartments which allows you 10 minutes to load and unload your bags, before moving your vehicle to a longer-term spot. There are plenty of parking options nearby. Lemon Street itself offers only on-street stays restricted to one hour by day, though you can easily park outside on-street all night between 5pm and 9am. Otherwise, your best option is a four-minute walk away at Moorfield Multi-Storey car park, which is £8.20 for 24 hours and free in the evenings. Lemon Quay parking is slightly nearer but more expensive and please note that this carpark is not 24hours. It’s also worth noting that once in Truro, it is easy to get around on foot and on the convenient bus, train and ferry routes, so you may just choose to park your car for the duration and enjoy the freedom of being without one. The Apartments are well-situated on the prestigious Lemon Street, which is home to several restaurants and cafes, the quirky Lemon Street market, the Cinema, and an art gallery. It’s a fabulous street for browsing and soaking up Cornish culture. The town centre is one street over and offers a renowned range of highly-rated independent restaurants, shops and bars, plus all the usual high street favourites. You can’t fail to be impressed by the stunning cathedral. Slightly further afield is the beautiful village of Malpas, with The Heron (a local’s favourite pub) and exquisite walks along the river. As a city centre location there is plenty of parking available, with the nearest being an NCP multi-story a 2 minute walk away. If it’s the coast you are craving, you’re in luck! A 15 minute drive north will take you to a truly stunning trio of beaches: Perranporth, which has the UK’s only pub on a beach, Porthtowan with its expanse of deserted golden sand, and Trevaunance Cove on the shores of St Agnes, a quirky Cornish town where you will find surf schools, cafes, pubs selling local ales, and boutique after boutique stocked with local jewellery, art, baked goods and culinary delicacies. Each of these gorgeous beaches give access to miles and miles of stunning coastal walks Nearest supermarket – Co-op 2 mins.
