In the Ylläs ski area of Finnish Lapland, the Holiday Clud Äkäslompolo Apartments and Cottages is amid some of the country’s most famous cross-country skiing terrain. All accommodation comes with a traditional fireplace and a private sauna. The timber-built buildings are in a rustic style, however each has a TV and a modern kitchen including a dishwasher. Guests have a living area with sofas, and the accommodation has either an outside terrace or balcony. Äkäslompolo Lake is popular for fishing year-round, and in the warmer months hiking in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park offers untouched landscapes and berry- and mushroom-picking.
