The very name of the neighbourhood, Seujpur, means green - Seuj standing for green in Assamese. It is home to the town's intellectuals, doctors, politicians and top businessmen. The road in front takes you across two gardens on either side, as you go for a morning walk right upto the Brahmaputra banks or to Assam Medical College - Northeast India's first medical college. Along the way you will see some pretty Assam Type houses. The neighbourhood is also very quiet.
My parents were the first-gen settlers here, I being the second. Undoubtedly the most sought after neighbourhood in town.
