The Shaka Shak Guest House offers 2 distinctly unique accommodations: The B&B style rooms are located on the 2nd floor of the Guest House with a main entry door. From the street, park your car across the property, behind the NO PARKING sign, closer to the rock wall. Access the Guest House through the Bamboo Gate, down the asphalt walkway across the yard to the stairs of the house. Multiple yard lights will guide your way. Not recommended for guests on wheelchairs or crutches. The Studios have their own private entries into their respective units and have outside common areas with a shared kitchenette, consisting of a coffee maker, a refrigerator, microwave, a toaster oven, and an outside grill. Pots, pans and utensils are available for guests use. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Hilo just 30 minutes' drive from the Volcano National Park and Mauna Kea, Shaka Shak Guest House is a 1950s plantation-style guest house features rooms with mountain views. Hilo Airport is 4 km away. Shaka Shak Studios are equipped with a refrigerators, coffee maker, microwave and a toaster oven. Downtown Hilo, Liliuokalani Gardens, Richardson Beach are within 5 km away from Shaka Shak Guest House.
