Only a 20-minute drive from the historic centre of Mérida, Hacienda Santa Cruz is set in lush gardens and has 2 outdoor swimming pools. Rooms and facilities are located in the hacienda’s separate buildings. All the rooms are in the Casa Principal, the former country estate’s main house. Each room has a unique décor featuring colourful textiles or brightly-painted walls. They all have a ceiling fan and air conditioning, a dressing room and a private bathroom. The Casa de Maquina restaurant, located in the old machine house, has a terrace, bar and swimming pool, and serves Mexican and French-Creole cuisine, as well as Asian and Italian dishes. The Chichen Itza Mayan ruins are 130 km southwest of the Hacienda. The Uxmal ruins are about an hour’s drive to the south. Mérida international airport, with services to major Mexican cities, including D.F and Cancún, and international destinations, such as Miami, Houston and La Havana, is just a 10-minute drive away.
