Ark Hotel Kyoto

Ark Hotel Kyoto is conveniently located, just a 10-minute drive from Kyoto Station, and 1 minute on foot from the Omiya (Hankyu Line) and the Shijo Omiya (Arashiyama Line) stations. It affords great access to the Arashiyama, Uzumasa, Kawaramachi and Gion areas. The popular Fushimi Inari Shrine is also just about 30 minutes by train from the Omiya Station (Hankyu line) to the Fushimi Inari Station (Keihan Line).

Although located at the heart of the city, this hotel offers guests a tranquil accommodation where they can rest and relax. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in the entire hotel. All rooms were refurbished in the summer of 2014, and are equipped with air cleaners with humidifying function. Samue (Japanese garment) and slippers, as well as Shiseido shampoo, conditioner, body soap and hand soap are provided. Feel free to put food and drinks in the empty refrigerator in the room. Guests can look forward to refreshing themselves by sipping a cup of sencha or hojicha, different kinds of green tea from an established teahouse.

Front desk open 24 hours. There is also a convenience store nearby, open 24/7. A drugstore is located 2 min away on foot. A baggage counter is free of charge, so no need to worry about where to store luggage before check in or after check out.

At the front desk, guests can avail of the popular Kyoto 1-day bus pass, or the Keifuku (Arashiyama Line) 1-day pass perfect for sightseeing in the Rakusai area. A handy railway map comes with both tickets. Guests are free to use the PC or read brochures in the lobby to plan their sightseeing trips. There is a newly constructed smoking booth available. There are 2 coin laundry machines and 2 dryers especially recommended for long-term guests. Laundry detergents are sold at the front desk.

For breakfast, the popular Japanese/Western-style buffet is available. Guests can have as much as they like of everything, whether it's grilled fish, miso soup, eggs, nori, and others from the Japanese cuisine, or cereal, meat dishes, salads, and others from the Western-style cuisine.

For lunch, choose between a Japanese restaurant or a Western-style restaurant and enjoy the daily special menu that's sure to be filling and delicious.
Lunch hours: from 11:30, last order at 14:00.

For dinner, there's something for every guest, from a casual menu to a kaiseki cuisine featuring seasonal ingredients.
Dinner hours: from 17:30, last order at 21:00.
